Partnership building Workshop

Workshop was conducted from 24 to 27 March 2018 at  Aba Mengesha Geneme Public Library and Information Center, Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organization (JeCCDO).

The aim of the workshop was to establish collaborations between academics from the University of Bahir Dar and the University of Cambridge and their partners on research projects that aim to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs).

Workshop participants were different faculties from Bahir Dar University and have identified shared common interests and evolved collaborative research ideas in response to specific challenges faced by communities in and around Bahir Dar.

The main themes addressed during the workshop were water, energy, waste, food, work and livelihoods. The workshop constituted of plenary presentations, small group work, one-to-one relationship building between collaborators, and site visits.
