BiT Officials have Conducted Self-Evaluation

Bahir Dar Institute of Technology higher officials have conducted self- evaluation on the last six month performance. The aim of this self evaluation process was to share best practices and performances done by the directors and scale-up to other leaders. Moreover, self-evaluation, which are typically one component of the performance-review process, give leaders the opportunity to make sure that their operational and strategic leadership is in-line with the Institute as well as the University operational activities and accomplishments.

From his report, the Deputy Scientific Director, Ass. Profesor Yonas Mitiku stated that, in this meeting, directors present about the achievements they completed and the goals they met in teaching-learning, research, community service and external collaboration activites in the last six month. Further, they also describe the challenges they faced. Then, based on their presentation and performance report, the participants forwarded their critical reflections, suggestion, and recommendations to the presenter. After the discussion, ranking is given to the respective institutes, schools and directors.

As the D/Scientific Director said generally the last six month performance of the institute was very good in many aspects, and as officials we all agreed to do our best to aspire the institute further. He also said that this evaluation process will continue to other middle level leaders and instructors.
