After one semester common Pre-Engineering course delivery, the institute has allocated freshman students to eight engineering programs of BiT.
The allocation has done by the institute Admission and Program Placement committee. To allocate the students the committee used the semester academic score (3.23 SANG and above for Male and 2.68 SANG and above for Female), gender consideration for female, and interests of the students. The final result shows that 78.7% of the students have got their first choice and the rest 21.3% has distributed based on their second and third choice. The final distribution of students to the programs is described in table below.

Finally, the Pre-Engineering office reported that the attrition rate of this year freshman students is only 0.3%. This shows that the teaching–learning, capacity scaling up and supervision of the Pre-Engineering program was good and appreciable.
