IDSS is comprised of a group of previously validated spatially explicit models and databases that have been extensively applied in both U.S. and international setting.  There are eighty participants for the training. These trainees came from five national universities, Ministry of Environmental and Forest, Agricultural Research Institutes, ICARDS, Amhara Design Enterprise, Tana Sub-basin office and BDU. Majority of workshop participants are from different programs and research centers of BDU. 27 graduate students of BDU are also involved. The international trainers are travelled a long way from USA of Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University.
