Faculty of Civil and Water Resources Engineering conducted meeting with farmers of Dangishta and Robit Kebeles on 15 and 16 Sep 2016. During the two day meetings (Dangishta farmers at Dangila and Roit farmers at Bahir Dar), 49 farmers were involved. The meeting objective was to to plan and improve the Innovation Lab for Small Scale Irrigation (ILSSI) project implementation for the third year there is a need to evaluate the 2nd year. During the meeting, we addressed the lessons learned and gaps identified by the project and kebele administrators.
During the meeting, planning for 2016/2017 period irrigation was discussed. At the end of the meeting, work schedule of the vegetable production was drafted. The meeting was conducted by faculty members and MSc students of Civil and Water Resources Engineering.
This meeting is part of the innovation lab for small scale irrigation (cooperative research project aiming to increase food production, improve nutrition, protect the environment and accelerate economic development) which is funded by USAID through International Water Management Institute.
