Faculty of Chemical and Food Engineering held the 1st international conference on Postharvest Loss Management (PHLM) for improved livelihood and sustainable Development

The one day 1st National conference on Postharvest Loss Management (PHLM) for improved livelihood and sustainable Development was successfully conducted by the Faculty of Chemical and Food Engineering in Bahir Dar Institute of Technology on 10th May 2018. Total of 70 participants were actively involved from different organization namely FAO, Sasakawa Africa Association, CASCAPE, etc.  In the conference total of 9 oral presentations (2 are plenary lectures, 7 are from researchers from different organizations) were presented. The panel discussions were conducted and all the participants were actively shared their ideas and concern about the post harvest losses and raised the solutions for effective mitigations techniques. Finally, the conference was concluded by the distribution of the certificates to the presenters and vote of thanks message by conference chairman Dr. Solomon workneh
