The 2014/2015 BDU Graduation Day

Bahir Dar University has celebrated the 2014/2015 academic year graduation day on Saturday, 04 July, 2015 at the University Stadium. The university graduate a total of 7523 students among these 1249 are from Bahir Dar Institute of Technology.

On his opening speech, the President of the University, Dr. Bayile Damtie said that graduation is a special and significant day for graduates and families. It celebrates the achievement of years of hard work and marks the crucial progression from student to alumnus. It's a day to celebrate with your family and friends, and one that you will remember for the rest of your life. The president added that you should be punctual, and loyal to you country. You should align your education with your skills; align your education with your goals; and most importantly, align your education on solving the problems of the country.

The chair of the University Board, his Excellency Mr. Aleminew Mekonnen congratulates the graduates and he stated that you should apply you knowledge to support the development of the country. You should work hard and apply you skill to support your self, you family and the development plan of the country.

In the graduation day, 25 best projects among these 14 projects were done by BiT graduate students and that ready to transfer to the community are specially awarded by the university president and the invited guests.

There were various invited guests in the graduation day; including the University board, president of the university, Head of Gambela National Regional Sate, student families, vice presidents of the university, deans, directors and instructors from different colleges and faculties.
