The institute has conducted consultative workshop on five year strategic plan preparation and development. The aim of the workshop was to discuss the strategic plan done by the committee. The deans, directors, chair holders and other representatives were participated in the workshop.
The chair of the committee, Dr. Mulugeta Azeze, presented the work done by the committee till now. The presentation was specially focused on the mission and vision statement of the institute, and detail SWOT analysis on the existing situation of the institute.
And then, focused group discussion was conducted by the participant. Each focus group presented its discussion on institute SWOT analysis. Then, detail discussion was conducted on the way forward and next activities to be done to finalize the strategic plan.
Finally, the Scientific Director, Dr. Nigus Gabye, reflects on some of the points raised by the participants and acknowledged the efforts done by the committee. He requested all the participants to help the committee on this strategic plan development. Further, he asked all faculties to develop their own faculty level strategic plan.
