Welcome to the Faculty of Computing at the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology (BiT), a proud member of Bahir Dar University. As one of the five faculties within BiT, we are dedicated to delivering a transformative educational experience rooted in practical, hands-on learning. Our programs are designed to equip students with the technical expertise and problem-solving skills essential for success in today’s fast-evolving digital landscape.

We are proud of the achievements of our graduates—over 86% of whom, according to a 2019 BiT tracer study, have secured employment both within Ethiopia and abroad. This success reflects our commitment to maintaining international standards in both teaching and research.

Our faculty consists of a dynamic and diverse team of 132 academic and technical staff who are deeply engaged in research, innovation, enterprise development, and community service. Together, we strive to nurture not only competent professionals but also ethical leaders who can contribute meaningfully to society and industry.
