Bahir Dar University has participated in Choose France tour in French Embassy, Addis Ababa.

The program was divided in to two institutional meeting sessions with considerable participants. The first session opened with a welcoming speech by Mr. Remi Marechaux, French ambassador in Addis Ababa and Mr. Matthiew Bragato, campus France branch promotion. The session focused on meeting between number of Ethiopian and French universities on partnership opportunities, and Bahir Dar University was a part in it.  The university officials led by Dr. Zewdu Emiru, V/President for Information and Strategic Communication participated and discussed the chances of creating collaboration in terms of research and academics in the areas of business and economics, hotel and tourism as well as engineering sector.  The exchanges and joint programs will be expected to be tightened once further discussions are made. The second session of the meeting focused on presentation on Erasmus+ opportunities on projects, funding, scholarships and capacity building. The main overview of Erasmus+ was presented by Mr. Jannik VAA, political advisor EU delegation to Ethiopia. Further project opportunities presented, and the interest in archeological studies is high which was presented by Mrs. Caroline Robin-Brunner and Mrs. Nathalie Bitar.
The closing speech at the end was done by Mrs. Sophie Moal-Makamé, head of operations at the Embassy of France.
