The startup of BiTec, Bahir Dar Institute of Technology-Bahir Dar University pitched their work at the Entrepreneurship Competition on the 9th Global Entrepreneurship Week, currently taking place at the Haile Grand Hotel, Addis Ababa.

The Entrepreneurship Competition on 9th Global Entrepreneurship Week, hosted by the Ministry of Labor and Skills, is currently taking place at the Haile Grand Hotel in Addis Ababa. The program has been attended by higher government officials, startups from various universities, entrepreneurs, and other invited guests. 
 
Solomon Geremew, Henok Simachew, Kalkidan Eshete, and Mequanint Ayusew of BiTec-BiT-Bahir Dar University presented their work on the Ethio Organic Pesticide, which is made from various plant species. According to their presentation, because their product is made from locally available raw materials, it will save foreign currency, increase crop productivity, and provide a significant advantage in our country's development, which is heavily reliant on agriculture. 
The program will undergo today with startups pitching their work, presentations by entrepreneurs, panel discussions, whereas the award ceremony for the selected startups will be held tomorrow.
