Scientific Director Message to all faculty and staff for the New Year
I wish happy New Year to all staffs and students of BiT. To start 2008 E.C, I would like to convey my expectations and resolutions for the New Year and the years to follow with all staffs and students of the Bahir Dar Institute of Technology. Each New Year starts with new determinations; may be small but meaningful expressions of hope that we can truly measure our progress towards important goals. Thus, a New Year is always a chance to look back at some of our recent achievements and look forward to the next academic year aspiration.
In this regard, first of all, I want to share my aspiration about the very positive prospect for achieving our important targets in the ongoing plan in 2007 academic year. As most of you know, we have achieved various successes in all the main pillar of the institute (teaching-learning, research and community service, infrastructure development) mandated from higher education. This success is due to all the hard work put-in by all the BiT community, and the various types of structural reforms we have undertaken, which are beginning to exert their effects.
Our relentless efforts to strengthen and improve BiT - in program expansion in different mode of deliveries, improvement on curricula and teaching facilities, collaboration and partnership, and infrastructure development to support students and staffs are not for our own pleasure, rather it is to ensure that this learning community can continue to inspire, motivate, and indeed inflame new generations of courageous technical man power to our nation. I assure that we will continue with this passion in 2008 academic year for better success and maintain BiT’s reputation in technical education.
I believe that our success and achievement lies in our cooperative efforts and work closely with our partner institutions. If we integrate and aspire to work together, we shall attain what we plan and imagine.
Finally, let me again wish to you a year of wonderful happiness, great success and incredibly aspiration to maintain our reputation in technical education.
