Call for Proposals

The ICT4D Research Center kindly invites staff of BDU to apply for this call for proposals for possible funding. The new research proposal shall address existing problems using ICT-related remedies and have a special relevance to development of the country. The proposals should be in line with the research thematic areas of the research center: Natural Language Processing, Wireless and Mobile Communication, e-Service and Artificial Intelligence. The final output of the research must be published in a reputable journal.

Please submit your research proposals to the ICT4D Research Center in a hard copy (PhD Building, 2nd floor, Room #204) and soft copy (ict4dbit@gmail.com or ict4dbit@bdu.edu.et) before August 10, 2020.

Eligibility for proposal writing:

  • Be a staff member of BDU.
  • Researcher who successfully submitted all previous BDU funded research projects, in case if she/he was funded in the previous budget years.

Requirements:

 The proposal shall involve at least three researchers.

  • The researchers shall have a reputable publication record in indexed and peer reviewed journals.
  • The proposal must have a justifiable relevance to the development of the country.
  • Research proposals must be within thematic areas identified by ICT4D Research Center. They are listed below based on their priority across and within thematic areas.
  • The written proposal must be strictly according to the BiT’s research proposal format.

Note: Multidisciplinary research proposals are highly encouraged.
