Ababy Ketema Worku, who was a PhD candidate in Sustainable Energy Engineering, has completed his Doctoral research in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Bahir Dar Energy Center, Bahir Dar Institute of Technology. He works on the Development and Electrochemical Studies of Nanostructured MnO2 based Electrocatalysts for Rechargeable Zinc-Air Batteries. He has also published more than six original articles in reputable journals in less than four years of study and successfully defended his PhD Dissertation on February 4, 2022.
During the defense, the evaluators said that he did incredible work and demonstrated astonishing time management and achievement. This can be an excellent example for the other PhD students. In addition, they appreciate the way Ababay conducted such amazing work using the laboratory facilities we have. This shows that, if we utilize our capacity we can achieve great results comparable to PhD studies abroad.
