Bahir Dar Institute of Technology has conducted consultative workshop on university- industry linkage. The aim of the conference is to discuss on further strengthening and scaling up the link between the institute and industries
On his opening speech, the Managing Director of BiT, Dr. Sisay Germew said that the institute has tried the best to establish strong link and collaboration between the institute and the industry that aims to enable a step –change in collaborative research and project development that addresses to solve the problems of the industry. Thus, this conference helps us to establish the platform for integration, share knowledge and ideas among the industries and the universities.
There were many invited participants from the government sectors, manufacturing industries and technical and vocational sectors. The participants discussed on the existing problems and shortcomings on university-industry linkage, propose ways to establish a better platform for further integration and collaboration
