BiT-BDU is hosting Global Entrepreneurship Week 2022

Dr. Amare Kassaw Director of BiTec, kicked off the program by welcoming the guests from Belgium, South Africa, GiZ, Investors, Bankers, kazana groups, Entrepreneurs, BDU higher officials and all invited guests. As per His speech the event was organized by the BiTec in collaboration with GiZ, GFA consulting group and first consult. 
Dr. Tesfaye Shiferaw, Vice President of Research and Community Service, Bahir Dar University president delegate, delivered an opening speech in which he stated that the university aspires to be highly involved in incubation centers such as BiTec to encourage students to turn their own ideas into businesses.
Later on, Mr. Zewudu Lake, BDU Business Incubation Center Director, gave a presentation on Bahir Dar University's incubation and innovation practices, and Mr. Fasil Abate from GFA spoke about PSD-GiZ best practices on entrepreneurship and business incubation support. Following that, Ms. Rewla Ephrem and Mr. Getu Alemayehu, BiT-BDU entrepreneurs, gave a presentation on promoting ideas into startups: Opportunities and challenges.
The events will take place today and tomorrow for the entire day, with mentor meetings, panel discussions, and pitching competitions.
