About the speakers

Mr. Yohannes Sisay (Left) and Mr. Dagmawi Tesfaw (Right), an enthused young staffs from Geotechnical and Highway Engineering Chair, both graduated from Bahir Dar university with Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree. Mr. Dagmawi got his MSc from the same university with thesis entitled “Three-dimensional investigation on the behavior of a batter pile and batter piles in a group pile for a case of different densities of sand soil using FLAC3D software”. His research interest is knowing and investigating more about the genuine phenomena that occur during excavation and underground infrastructures using recent tools. While Mr. Yohannes, like his co-host, pursued his master’s degree from Bahir Dar University with a thesis title “Performance characteristics of jute fiber modified binder and asphalt mixture”. His research interest focus on Pavement material and material characterization, road maintenance, road rehabilitation and green Engineering.
