The faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering has given graduation certificate for orphan young trainees. For two month faculty of mechanical and Industrial engineering gives Basic manufacturing training for more than 22 students collected from Bahir Dar city orphans. During this training times the faculty staffs, especially staffs form the chair of manufacturing stream was delivered their value time for this important training and watched their fruit at the end. From those students due to different reasons 9 of them was ready for the graduation ceremony.
The graduation was take place Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 4:00 pm BiT Conference room. During this graduation ceremony, different personals including BiT Scientific Director, BiT Managing Director, Faculty Of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Dean, and chairs from FMIE streams and other invited guests from, Bahir Dar City Administration and TVET representatives was attended the ceremony. During the ceremony opening time, The FMIE Dean Mr. Muluken said that, “The faculty will continue such kind community service a head” also Mr. muluken rephrased that, “our faculty staffs was taking the initiative to start this training for the community by preparing training manuals and giving the training each day without timidity ” during the ceremony Bahir Dar Institute of Technology scientific Director acknowledged the faculty effort and give confirmation his office will give support for such kind of life changing community services. The students who were graduating in this training also gives there thank for the institute and especially for the faculty “who shows for them the light of change under strong work”. Students also said that, “starting this day they will not return back to the past dark life which was full of horror and loneness but now they will strive to win life by the weapon of knowledge which is given by the faculty”. During the ceremony different personnel’s form the city administration and TVET was come and reinforce the idea of equipping the community with such type of training specially it will be very important for young orphans. This representatives also indicate that, they are appreciating the initiative of the faculty but the fruit of their work will come true when there will be a joint arm of support for this young orphans by giving them training, continuous support in investment process and give the startup fund and working areas from the respected bodies.
